One inch at the time

One Inch at The Time

This post is for those who had a bad day, those who think it can't be possible, those who are about to give up, those who need to get back up.

I once, as same as you, had doubt in my mind, thinking that what I'm doing is impossible and  it cannot be done. And, because the circumstances that life put in my way won't lead me to accomplish my dream. Those negative doubts in my mind put me down emotionally, to a point that I wanted to give up on my dream (be a software developer). To make story short, after a serious thinking and looking through a series of motivational videos, my mind changed completely.

Now, i believe everything is possible in this world. You just have to put your mind to it. I know is not an easy process. But, it is possible and it will change your life. Change the way you think about you, be positive, believe in yourself and work hard. Also, do not stop dreaming!

Here is a quote that I repeat every day to myself: "Ask an it should be given to you, seek and you should find it, knock and it should be open unto you."

This is my grain of sand to you people. One inch at a time. Stay awesome people!

Here is a little video, hope it helps.

My First Blog Post

My Journey So Far:

Hello my name is Cesar.

What can I say? This is the first time I'm using a blog and I want to talk about how I start programming and where I am now.

Everything started a year ago when i had a serious ankle injury by playing soccer that left me in bed for almost a month. During that time I was curious to learn a computer program, but i didn't which program to pick. After, a serious time browsing the net and going through different blogs like www.dreamincode.net and stackoverflow.com, for some answers, I finally decide to take a free course in Pyhton as an introduction to programming. I believe that was the best thing I have done last year. Rapidly, I felt in love with python and programming in general.

So far, I'm currently learning as much as I can about web development with MOOC courses and learning more about python language. The Odin Project is a good way to start if you are an aspiring web developer (http://www.theodinproject.com/).

The road is hard, but I believe I can do the impossible if I keep myself focus in my main goal.

To all the people the is starting in the world of programming in general, all I can say is "work hard and keep coding!"

Happy coding, everyone!

I'll leave you with a link that a friend share with me today: http://www.onlinecollegecourses.com/2012/08/06/50-places-you-can-learn-to-code-for-free-online/
